About Miss Ferina Albano
Marianne Ferina Albano is a 22-year-old nursing student (now a graduate) based in the Philippines.
She is a self taught photographer who started off with a Kodak Mickey-matic film camera when she was in 4th Grade which she bought for merely 300 pesos. Her dad bought her a Canon SureShot film camera in 6th Grade and used it for family portraits until it finally broke down when her Aunt accidentally dropped it during a family vacation in Subic. She mostly used her handy Sony Ericsson camera phones in college to capture her everyday life and made blogs about 'em. After a while, she used her Mom's Olympus and her Aunt's Kodak point-and-shoot cameras. She became fond of documenting her Community Nursing experiences in remote areas where she was assigned with her classmates in college. She became her family's photographer for birthdays, picnics and holidays. Besides holidays and adventures, she also loved taking photos of spectacular places during travels, exquisite food, everyday objects, body parts and her everyday clothes!
She got her very first dSLR (
Her journey through photography was very exciting as she tried to experiment between various types of photography: portraiture, fashion, glamour, landscape, street, child, photojournalism, food, still-life, and artistic photography. With her talents in Adobe Photoshop combined with her background in sketching, painting, and poster-making, she infuses these to her new found love, which is Photography. She describes herself as an EXPERIMENTAL photographer.
She is an active member of The Ilocandia Photographic Society based in Ilocos Norte, Philippines.
